Job Description
Join FedEx Ground as a Warehouse Material Handler, where you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts.
- Scan packages and sort them accurately according to destination codes.
- Move packages using manual or powered equipment, such as pallet jacks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels and instructions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or package handling environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
