Job Description

Black & Veatch is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a foundational support role, internally designated as ’15−’. This position is integral to the smooth operation of our projects and administrative functions, providing essential support across various departments. While ’15−’ is an internal identifier, this role offers a unique opportunity for individuals at the start of their careers to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic global engineering firm. You will work closely with project teams, administrative staff, and various stakeholders, contributing directly to our mission of building a world of difference. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with data entry, record keeping, and maintenance of various project databases and documentation systems.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage expense reports for team members as required.
  • Help organize and maintain digital and physical files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications, acting as a liaison between different departments and external partners.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of reports, proposals, and other project-related documents.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, managing incoming mail, and ensuring office efficiency.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of professionalism and discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Prior experience in an administrative support role or internship, preferably in an engineering or professional services environment
  • Familiarity with project management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
