Job Description
Join XPO Logistics as a CDL-A Linehaul Driver and become a vital part of our robust transportation network. This full-time position offers high weekly earnings, consistent miles, and excellent benefits, including 401k matching, ensuring a stable and rewarding career. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight between terminals, playing a crucial role in delivering goods across the region. We are looking for dedicated and professional drivers who prioritize safety and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle, primarily for linehaul runs between XPO terminals.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT hours of service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, reporting any defects.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and all required paperwork.
- Ensure the timely delivery of freight while prioritizing safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Proficiency in operating ELDs and navigating using GPS.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Experience with LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
