Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Cloud Support Associate with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team in Geelong. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance on their cloud infrastructure and services. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our clients’ cloud environments, contributing directly to their success and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for cloud-based infrastructure and services, primarily focused on Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries and incidents related to cloud services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity management.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting, diagnosis, and escalation of complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and availability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and configurations accurately in our ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and AWS services, features, and best practices.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and support documentation.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, VNETs, Storage Accounts, Azure AD).
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect Associate).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and processes.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
