Job Description
Are you a highly talented and versatile musician looking for a unique opportunity to showcase your skills while traveling the world? Royal Caribbean International is seeking exceptional Cruise Ship Musicians to join our dynamic entertainment teams. This is a full-time, contract-based role where you’ll perform for an international audience, enjoy complimentary travel and board, and receive a competitive salary. Key Responsibilities
- Perform solo or as part of an ensemble in various venues onboard (e.g., lounges, main theater, specialty restaurants) as scheduled.
- Participate in rehearsals, sound checks, and professional development sessions to maintain high performance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other musicians, entertainers, and the ship's entertainment team.
- Maintain instruments and equipment in excellent working condition.
- Adhere to all shipboard safety regulations and company policies.
- Engage positively with guests, representing Royal Caribbean's brand values.
Required Skills
- Exceptional proficiency on one or more musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, violin).
- Strong sight-reading abilities and improvisational skills across various genres (jazz, pop, rock, classical, show tunes).
- Excellent stage presence and ability to engage an audience.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to diverse musical styles and performance environments.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing on cruise ships or in professional touring ensembles.
- Ability to play multiple instruments (multi-instrumentalist).
- Vocal ability (lead or harmony).
- Experience in showband or pit orchestra settings.
- Music degree or equivalent professional training.
