Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a rewarding summer job that offers hands-on experience and a chance to learn a valuable trade? CertaPro Painters of Savannah is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-time High School Painter Apprentices to join our team for the summer. This weekend position is perfect for students eager to gain practical skills in painting, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to beautifying properties in the Savannah area. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced painters with prep work, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and masking surfaces.
- Learn proper painting techniques and safety protocols under direct supervision.
- Help with the application of paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
- Support site setup and breakdown, ensuring all materials are properly stored.
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliability and punctuality for weekend shifts.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
