Job Description
As a Digital Asset Auditor with a Content Management focus, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and optimal organization of Walmart’s vast digital asset repository. You will be responsible for meticulously reviewing, verifying, and maintaining the accuracy of metadata, usage rights, and content standards across various Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of content workflows, and a commitment to upholding brand guidelines and legal requirements. You will work closely with content creators, legal teams, and IT professionals to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our digital asset governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of digital assets (images, videos, documents, etc.) within DAM systems to ensure metadata accuracy, proper tagging, and adherence to established naming conventions.
- Verify compliance with licensing agreements, usage rights, and intellectual property guidelines for all digital content.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies, duplicates, and outdated assets, collaborating with content owners for necessary updates or archival.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive audit trails and reports, documenting findings, corrective actions, and performance metrics.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of digital asset governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on proper digital asset management protocols and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with legal, marketing, and IT departments to ensure audit processes align with evolving business needs and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the selection, implementation, and optimization of DAM tools and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in digital asset management (DAM) systems and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong understanding of metadata standards, taxonomy, and content classification principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.
- Familiarity with intellectual property rights, copyright, and licensing agreements in a digital context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex audit findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with enterprise-level DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Canto, Bynder, Aprimo).
- Certification in Digital Asset Management or related fields.
- Project management experience in content-related initiatives.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry.
