Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for independent work that makes a real impact on urban mobility? Lime is seeking dedicated and reliable E-scooter & E-bike Fleet Rechargers to join our operations in Kelowna, BC. This critical role involves locating, collecting, charging, and deploying our fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes overnight, ensuring they are ready for riders each morning. If you’re self-motivated, enjoy working outdoors, and want a flexible schedule, this opportunity is for you. Experience is not required – we provide the training and tools you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate low-battery e-scooters and e-bikes using a smartphone app.
- Collect vehicles from various locations across Kelowna and transport them to your designated charging area (e.g., home or private space).
- Safely charge multiple e-scooters and e-bikes overnight.
- Inspect vehicles for basic damage or maintenance needs and report findings.
- Redistribute fully charged vehicles to designated high-demand areas by morning.
- Follow all safety guidelines and traffic laws during collection and deployment.
- Work independently and manage time effectively to meet overnight deadlines.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (car, van, or truck) capable of transporting multiple e-scooters/e-bikes.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible night-shift schedule.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift and carry e-scooters (up to 30 lbs) and e-bikes (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a gig economy role (e.g., ride-share, food delivery).
- Familiarity with the Kelowna area.
- Basic knowledge of e-scooters or e-bikes.
