Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FedEx Custom Critical Aide with a High-Level Support focus to join our operations team in Humble, Texas. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of critical shipments by providing advanced administrative and operational support. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage complex tasks under pressure. You will act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding high-priority cases, contributing directly to our reputation for reliable and exceptional expedited service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administrative and operational support to the Custom Critical operations team, focusing on high-priority and escalated issues.
- Monitor critical shipments, track progress, and proactively identify potential delays or issues, escalating as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and other FedEx departments to resolve complex logistical challenges.
- Process and manage specialized documentation and reporting related to high-value or time-sensitive freight.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of service failures, claims, and customer complaints with a focus on quick and satisfactory outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring all information pertaining to critical shipments is current and accessible.
- Support compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Participate in training and development to enhance knowledge of Custom Critical services and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an administrative, logistics support, or customer service role.
- Proven ability to handle high-stress situations and complex problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry, particularly with expedited or critical freight.
- Familiarity with FedEx internal systems and procedures.
- Experience with database management and data entry.
