Job Description
As a FedEx Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods through our complex supply chain network. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery for our clients. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams and external partners to maintain operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the supply chain industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, freight forwarding, and customs documentation.
- Monitor shipment status from origin to destination, proactively identifying and resolving any potential delays or issues.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouses, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including inventory, shipping manifests, and delivery confirmations.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for international and domestic shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the analysis of logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (2+ years).
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with a global logistics provider or major freight carrier.
- Familiarity with customs procedures and international trade regulations.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CTL).
