Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Field Sorter to join our team in Ancoats, Manchester. This role is crucial for our waste management and recycling operations, requiring you to work outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be responsible for sorting materials, ensuring efficient waste processing, and contributing to our environmental goals. We offer a 4-day work week option, providing excellent work-life balance and a consistent schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently sort various materials (e.g., recycling, general waste, specific commodities) as per operational guidelines.
  • Operate basic sorting equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct visual inspections of materials to identify and separate contaminates.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including environmental standards.
