Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and creatively-driven Food Styling Assistant to join our dynamic production team in Boca Raton. This role is crucial in supporting our lead Food Stylists on commercial shoots, ensuring that all culinary elements are prepared, presented, and maintained to the highest visual standards. You will be instrumental in the creative preparation phase, handling everything from ingredient sourcing and prep to on-set organization and post-shoot cleanup. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead Food Stylists with all aspects of food preparation and presentation for commercial shoots.
- Source and organize ingredients, props, and equipment required for specific shoot concepts.
- Perform meticulous food preparation tasks, including chopping, cooking, baking, and plating, under the direction of the stylist.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, both in the prep kitchen and on set.
- Manage inventory of styling tools, equipment, and perishable goods.
- Provide on-set support during filming, including making last-minute adjustments to food, maintaining freshness, and ensuring visual consistency.
- Assist with post-shoot cleanup, dishwashing, and proper storage of props and equipment.
- Help with administrative tasks such as tracking expenses and managing receipts.
- Collaborate effectively with photographers, directors, producers, and other crew members to achieve desired visual outcomes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or culinary arts (professional or extensive home cooking experience).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing shoot schedules and creative requirements.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Preferred Qualifications
