Job Description
Are you a driven, detail-oriented student eager to learn about corporate strategy and franchise development within the dynamic quick-service restaurant industry? Restaurant Brands International (RBI) is seeking a motivated Franchise Development Intern to join our Corporate Expansion team in Guelph. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the critical processes of identifying new market opportunities, supporting franchise partner relations, and contributing to the strategic growth of our iconic brands. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learn about market analysis, site selection, and the legal and operational aspects of franchise expansion, playing a direct role in our global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in market research and data analysis to identify potential new territories for brand expansion.
- Support the Franchise Development team in preparing presentations and proposals for prospective franchisees.
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and demographic studies for target expansion areas.
- Help manage and update the pipeline of potential franchise partners and development projects.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners, taking detailed notes and tracking action items.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials for franchise recruitment.
- Assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the corporate expansion department.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- High level of initiative, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in franchising, business development, or the quick-service restaurant industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or work experience in a business or corporate environment.
- Familiarity with market analysis tools or CRM software.
- Basic understanding of real estate principles or site selection processes.
