Job Description
Dole Food Company is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our harvest teams as Fruit Picker Assistants. This temporary, on-site role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient collection of high-quality produce. You will play a vital part in our agricultural operations, contributing directly to the delivery of fresh fruits to markets nationwide. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and are looking for a physically active job. Training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick and gather various fruits according to quality standards and ripeness guidelines.
- Handle produce with care to prevent bruising and damage.
- Operate and maintain basic harvesting tools and equipment safely.
- Sort and pack harvested fruits into designated containers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily harvest quotas.
- Assist with field preparation and cleanup as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work or manual labor is a plus, but not required.
