Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Fuel Delivery Driver for a local tanker role based out of Murrieta, CA. This is a vital position responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of various petroleum products to our network of travel centers and commercial customers within a local and regional radius. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and a proven track record of reliable fuel transport. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (tanker truck) safely and efficiently, adhering to all DOT, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport and deliver petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, etc.) to designated customer locations and company travel centers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects or issues.
- Load and unload fuel, ensuring proper procedures are followed for product transfer and spill prevention.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- Respond to and report any incidents, accidents, or spills immediately and appropriately.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Hazmat (H) endorsement
- Tanker (N) endorsement
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Previous experience specifically in fuel or hazardous materials transportation
- Familiarity with the Murrieta, CA and surrounding regional routes
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
