Job Description
Join CertaPro Painters of San Antonio as a remote Garden Fence Stainer with a strong focus on wood protection. This unique work-from-home role combines remote project coordination and client communication with hands-on expertise in wood staining and fence maintenance. You will be responsible for managing fence staining projects from initial consultation to final inspection, ensuring the highest standards of wood protection and aesthetic appeal for our clients’ outdoor spaces. While administrative duties are performed remotely, this role requires regular travel to client sites within the San Antonio area for consultations, estimates, quality checks, and direct involvement in staining or supervising staining crews. We are looking for an individual passionate about wood preservation, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct remote and on-site consultations with clients to assess fence conditions and recommend appropriate wood protection solutions.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for fence staining and sealing projects.
- Schedule and coordinate project logistics, including material procurement and crew assignments, primarily from a remote setup.
- Perform hands-on application of stains, sealants, and protective coatings to garden fences and other exterior wood structures when necessary.
- Supervise staining crews, ensuring adherence to CertaPro quality standards and safety protocols during on-site work.
- Educate clients on proper wood maintenance and long-term protection strategies.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure successful completion within agreed-upon parameters.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and communicate progress effectively to clients and management.
- Stay updated on the latest wood protection products, techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fence staining, wood treatment, and exterior wood protection.
- Familiarity with various types of wood stains, sealants, and application methods.
- Strong understanding of wood properties and effective preservation techniques.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for scheduling, communication, and estimating.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in wood restoration or protective coating application.
- Experience with crew supervision or leading small teams.
- Knowledge of local climate impacts on wood and appropriate protection.
