Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team in Bellevue, Washington. This is a direct-hire opportunity, not through a staffing agency, offering stability and a direct path to a rewarding career with U.S. Bank. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service, processing transactions, identifying financial needs, and offering suitable banking products and services. You will play a crucial role in building strong customer relationships and contributing to the overall success of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Open new accounts (checking, savings, CDs) and assist customers with other banking products and services.
  • Identify customer financial needs through proactive conversations and recommend appropriate U.S. Bank solutions, such as credit cards, loans, and investment referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers by providing personalized and friendly service.
  • Educate customers on digital banking solutions and self-service options.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Participate in branch meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
  • Contribute to branch goals by actively promoting U.S. Bank products and services.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or financial environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Basic understanding of financial products and services.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Demonstrated cash handling accuracy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Teller or in a similar banking role.
  • Experience with sales in a customer-facing environment.
