Job Description
Join the Save-On-Foods team in Surrey, BC, as a Grocery Clerk / Stocker. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in retail, with no prior experience required. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable team members who are ready to make an immediate impact. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our store’s appearance and ensuring our shelves are well-stocked, contributing directly to a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and stock merchandise accurately and efficiently on shelves and in display areas.
- Rotate products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including aisles and backstock areas.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or carts safely (training provided).
- Assist with inventory counts and manage product discrepancies.
- Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations.
