Job Description
Join the Hy-Vee team as a Grocery Store Price Auditor, a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to accurate pricing and customer trust. This stable, full-time position operates Monday through Friday, ensuring consistency and reliability. You will be responsible for systematically verifying product prices against our database, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all promotional signage is correctly displayed. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily audits of product pricing across various departments within the grocery store.
- Verify that shelf prices, scanning prices, and promotional prices match the current system data.
- Identify and report any pricing discrepancies or errors to the appropriate management.
- Ensure all promotional signage, including weekly ads and special offers, is accurately displayed and corresponds to current pricing.
- Assist in correcting pricing errors quickly and efficiently.
- Document audit findings and maintain accurate records of all price checks performed.
- Collaborate with store management and department leads to resolve pricing issues.
- Provide feedback on recurring pricing issues to improve overall accuracy.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to pricing integrity and customer service.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with data entry.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment, especially with pricing or inventory.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices or POS systems.
