Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Civil Service Recruiter to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact. As a Civil Service Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified candidates into various government and public sector roles. You will play a crucial role in supporting essential government functions by identifying top talent that meets specific agency requirements. This role demands excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, and a commitment to compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for civil service positions, from initial requisition to offer acceptance.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Conduct thorough interviews, assessments, and background checks to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of talent for current and future government staffing needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the application and hiring process.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and government agencies to understand their staffing requirements.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies efficiently.
  • Prepare and present offers of employment, negotiating terms as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the public sector or government contracting.
  • Strong understanding of civil service hiring processes and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various sourcing tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships with candidates and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with government contracting (e.g., GSA schedules, federal contracts).
  • Knowledge of federal employment laws and compliance standards.
  • Certifications in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
