Job Description

The Murrieta Valley Unified School District is seeking a diligent and reliable High School Cleaning Aide with office support capabilities for evening shifts. This vital role ensures our high school facilities remain pristine and conducive to learning, while also providing essential support to administrative staff during evening hours. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, including desks, tables, and fixtures.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and kitchenettes.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down for evening events as needed.
  • Provide basic office support, such as sorting mail, filing, or preparing materials, during evening hours.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to established safety and sanitation standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
