Job Description
Join AdventHealth’s Integrative Health Center in New Port Richey, FL, as a Holistic Nurse Practitioner. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that integrates conventional medical treatments with evidence-based complementary therapies. You will work within a collaborative team to promote wellness, prevent disease, and manage chronic conditions through a holistic lens. Our ideal candidate is passionate about empowering patients to achieve optimal health and well-being through personalized care plans that address physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams and health history reviews, with a holistic perspective.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans incorporating conventional and complementary therapies (e.g., nutrition, mindfulness, botanical medicine, stress reduction).
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage treatment regimens within scope of practice.
- Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, self-care practices, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, interdisciplinary care.
- Document patient encounters, treatments, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in integrative and holistic health.
Required Skills
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Florida.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGPCNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an integrative, holistic, or functional medicine setting.
- Strong understanding and commitment to holistic health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certification in Holistic Nursing (AHN-BC) or Functional Medicine (IFMCP).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems specific to holistic health.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English/Spanish).
- Experience in developing and leading wellness programs or workshops.
