Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Porter to join our exceptional team at The Grand Hotel Blackpool. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals looking to build a professional career in the dynamic tourism industry. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with luggage, providing information, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front-of-house services. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to contribute to a world-class hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Efficiently handle and transport guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring care and security.
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and directions.
- Assist guests with parking, taxis, and other transportation needs.
- Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance areas.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries, anticipating needs where possible.
- Handle deliveries and internal mail distribution.
- Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed.
