Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Porter to join our supportive management team at our Wolverhampton location. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and their needs are met with efficiency and a friendly smile. As a Hotel Porter, you will be an integral part of our front-of-house operations, assisting guests with luggage, providing information, and maintaining the hotel’s public areas to the highest standards. Our supportive management team is committed to your development, offering comprehensive training and a nurturing environment to help you succeed, regardless of prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage transportation to and from rooms.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and general requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and public areas.
- Deliver newspapers, mail, and other items to guest rooms as required.
- Assist with setting up meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Provide support to other departments, such as front desk and housekeeping, as needed.
- Ensure the security of guest belongings and hotel property.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest concerns and feedback.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest needs.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to handle luggage and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Wolverhampton area and local attractions.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is advantageous.
- A valid UK driving license (for potential valet services, not mandatory).
