Job Description
Join our friendly and professional team at CVS Health as an In-Store Pharmacy Technician. This part-time evening role is perfect for individuals seeking a steady schedule in a supportive environment. You’ll assist pharmacists in dispensing medication, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process patient prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and managing patient profiles.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues with a friendly demeanor.
- Operate cash register and process transactions, ensuring accuracy.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including pharmacy workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Active California Pharmacy Technician License/Registration.
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification preferred, but not required for initial hiring if state license is active.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with CVS Health pharmacy systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Experience with medication compounding or specialized pharmacy services.
