Job Description
Join WakeMed Health & Hospitals as an Industrial Cleaner for our night shift operations. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of various industrial and patient care areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff, patients, and visitors. No prior experience is necessary; we provide all the training you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors in designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, patient rooms, offices, and common areas to strict health standards.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and pressure washers.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas, including hazardous waste following safety protocols.
- Restock supplies in restrooms, patient rooms, and other areas as needed.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control policies, and departmental procedures.
- Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning operations.
- Complete daily cleaning logs and reports as required.
