Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Internal Hospital Courier to join our vital support team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe transportation of a wide range of items, including medical samples, patient records, equipment, and mail, throughout our hospital facilities. This is a crucial position that directly contributes to the smooth operation of our healthcare services and ensures patients receive timely care. You will navigate various hospital departments, interact with staff, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety protocols are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport medical samples, specimens, and laboratory materials between departments following strict protocols.
  • Deliver and collect patient records, confidential documents, and mail securely.
  • Move medical equipment, supplies, and other necessary items as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure all items are handled with care and transported safely to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff regarding collection and delivery times.
  • Operate various forms of transport within the hospital (e.g., trolleys, electric carts) safely and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to urgent requests for courier services.
