Job Description

Are you an ardent animal lover with a compassionate heart? The Humane Society of Pasco County is seeking a dedicated Kennel Cleaning Aide to join our team! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our shelter residents. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide all the training you need. Your work directly contributes to the health and happiness of our animals, making a tangible difference in their lives every single day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas daily.
  • Replenish food and water bowls, ensuring fresh supplies for all animals.
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any signs of illness, injury, or distress to veterinary staff.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing and folding bedding.
  • Maintain cleanliness of feeding and grooming supplies.
  • Perform general upkeep of the shelter facility to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with waste disposal and recycling.
