Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at the Tumi store located within a prominent mall in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers in finding the perfect travel solutions, and achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, understanding their travel and lifestyle needs.
- Showcase and demonstrate the features and benefits of Tumi products, including luggage, bags, accessories, and briefcases.
- Achieve individual and store sales goals by effectively closing sales and encouraging add-on purchases.
- Maintain an immaculately presented sales floor, including merchandising, cleanliness, and stock organization.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system, handling cash, credit, and gift card payments.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, performing stock counts, and transferring merchandise.
- Handle customer inquiries, product care advice, and returns/exchanges with professionalism and efficiency.
- Stay informed about new product launches, promotions, and industry trends to better serve our customers.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service in a retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic mathematical skills for processing transactions and calculating discounts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in luxury retail or sales of travel accessories.
- Knowledge of Tumi products or general high-end travel gear.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
