Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Center Admin to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. This pivotal role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical center. You will be the first point of contact for many of our patients and visitors, playing a crucial part in their experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, maintaining accurate calendars and records.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, direct inquiries, and provide accurate information.
  • Process patient registrations, update demographic information, and verify insurance details.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Assist with medical records management, filing, and data entry.
  • Collect co-pays and process payments accurately.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required to support the medical center's operations.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
