Job Description
Are you a motivated Pharmacy Technician looking to advance your career within a dynamic medical center setting? Allina Health is seeking a dedicated individual to join our pharmacy team in Bloomington, MN. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and perform routine checks for expired medications.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team-based learning.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist with medication reconciliation and patient education under pharmacist supervision.
Required Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Current MN Pharmacy Technician registration.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated dispensing cabinets (e.g., Pyxis, Omnicell).
- Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques.
- Previous experience in a medical center or hospital pharmacy.
- A desire for continuous learning and professional development.
