Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly energetic Nanny to join a vibrant family in San Francisco. This role is perfect for someone passionate about child development, active play, and fostering a stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, able to plan engaging activities, encourage curiosity, and maintain a safe, nurturing space for children. This is a full-time position requiring dedication, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement age-appropriate, engaging, and educational activities (arts & crafts, outdoor adventures, imaginative play)
  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences
  • Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs, appointments, and extracurricular activities
  • Assist with homework and school projects, promoting a positive attitude towards learning
  • Maintain a clean and organized children's living and play areas
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns
  • Encourage good hygiene, manners, and social development
  • Handle light household tasks related to children (e.g., children's laundry, tidying up toys)

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional nanny experience with verifiable references
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute engaging children's activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of energy, patience, and adaptability
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Experience with positive discipline techniques
  • Background in creative arts, sports, or music
  • Non-smoker
