As a Night Carer, you will provide essential support and care to our residents throughout the night, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This includes assistance with personal care, mobility, medication prompts, and responding to call bells. Your calm presence and empathetic approach will be crucial in creating a peaceful and secure environment during the night hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and continence management, respecting their dignity and privacy.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, using equipment safely as needed.
  • Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night, observing and reporting any changes in their condition.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging with residents in a kind and empathetic manner.
  • Assist with medication prompts and ensure residents receive prescribed medication as directed by the care plan.
  • Respond promptly to call bells and emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed care records, ensuring all observations and actions are documented.
  • Prepare residents for bed and assist with morning routines as required.
  • Help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with the nursing and day care teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
