Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and health-conscious Nutrition & Recipe Annotator to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately classifying, tagging, and enriching nutritional data for a vast library of recipes and food items. This position is vital for supporting our AI-driven health platforms and applications, ensuring the highest quality of data for personalized health recommendations, meal planning tools, and dietary analysis. You will work independently, leveraging your knowledge of nutrition and attention to detail to contribute to meaningful health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate and categorize nutritional information for a wide variety of recipes and food items.
- Verify the accuracy of ingredient lists, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
- Assign appropriate dietary tags (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-carb) based on established guidelines.
- Identify and flag potential allergens within recipes.
- Ensure consistency and quality of annotated data according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to refine annotation guidelines and processes.
- Conduct research on nutritional content and culinary practices as needed.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and meet daily/weekly annotation targets.
- Provide constructive feedback on tools and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using data annotation tools or similar software.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
