Job Description

Google UK is seeking a highly motivated Online Cloud Support Associate to join our dynamic team in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This role offers high growth potential for individuals ready to dive deep into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and provide exceptional technical support to our global user base. You will be instrumental in ensuring our clients have a seamless experience with Google Cloud products, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to the overall success of our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, accurate, and professional technical support to Google Cloud Platform users via online channels (email, chat, forums).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to Google Cloud products and services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and more.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and product teams, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through.
- Create and update knowledge base articles, FAQs, and internal documentation to improve support processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify and resolve recurring customer issues.
- Educate users on best practices for Google Cloud services and guide them through solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with Google Cloud innovations and industry trends.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows).
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
