Job Description
Join the Spirit Airlines team as a Part-time Airline Cabin Crew member, focusing on supporting our operations during crucial weekend, holiday, and peak travel periods. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during flights by adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
- Perform thorough pre-flight safety checks, verifying the presence and functionality of all emergency equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with their needs, inquiries, and special requests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Serve food and beverages, and handle on-board sales efficiently and accurately.
- Administer basic first aid to passengers as needed, following established guidelines.
- Manage passenger boarding and deplaning procedures, ensuring a smooth and timely process.
- Maintain strict adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies at all times.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods, to meet operational demands.
- Effectively manage and de-escalate conflicts or difficult situations with passengers, demonstrating professionalism and composure.
Required Skills
- Minimum 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with people.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive 10-year background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull carts, and reach into overhead bins.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity for quick decision-making under pressure.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for safety and communication.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late nights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience (1+ year) in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Haitian Creole) to better serve our diverse passenger base.
- Aviation-related certifications or prior cabin crew training.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
