Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Baggage Porter to join our weekend team at Hilton San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our guests, especially during peak travel times. You will be responsible for handling luggage, assisting guests with check-in/check-out, and providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy interacting with people, and are available to work weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, including loading and unloading from vehicles and transporting to/from rooms.
  • Provide information and directions to guests regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Assist with package deliveries and mail services as needed.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized lobby and luggage storage area.
  • Operate luggage carts safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with front desk and valet teams to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support hotel operations.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Dependable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with the Fisherman's Wharf area and local attractions.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
