Job Description
Join the TruGreen team as a Part-time Gardening Hand, focusing on essential weekend lawn care services. This role is perfect for individuals looking for consistent weekend work, providing top-notch mowing and edging services to our residential and commercial clients in the Evanston area. You will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of various landscapes, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every task. Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise mowing of lawns using walk-behind or ride-on mowers as required.
- Execute clean and sharp edging along driveways, walkways, and garden beds.
- Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and edgers.
- Conduct basic weeding and debris removal from garden areas and hardscapes.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to TruGreen's high standards of quality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on client properties.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Ability to work reliably on weekends.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of lawn care techniques, including mowing and edging.
- Proficiency in safely operating common lawn care equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping or lawn care is a plus, but not strictly required.
