Job Description
Target in Riverside, CA is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented high school students for a Part-time Inventory Counter position, specifically focused on weekend retail operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable work experience in a dynamic retail environment, develop organizational skills, and contribute to the efficiency of our store. You will be responsible for accurately counting and recording inventory, assisting with stock checks, and ensuring our shelves are well-stocked and organized for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate counts of merchandise in designated retail areas.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices to record inventory data.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory counts.
- Assist with organizing stockrooms and retail floor displays.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily inventory goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding inventory management.
Required Skills
- High school student (must be at least 16 years old).
- Ability to work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment (even volunteer work).
