Job Description

Are you passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals? Suncoast Credit Union is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Service Representative to join our team in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this full-time role, you will be the front-line ambassador, building lasting relationships with our members by providing outstanding service, identifying their financial needs, and offering tailored solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Process a variety of member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
  • Identify members' financial needs and effectively cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services (e.g., loans, savings accounts, digital banking).
  • Open new accounts and services, guiding members through the application process with clarity and professionalism.
  • Resolve member inquiries and concerns, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to first-call resolution.
  • Educate members on credit union policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products, services, and regulatory compliance.
  • Adhere to security procedures and internal controls to protect the credit union and its members.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and foster a positive working environment.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a credit union or banking environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services.
