Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Clinic Nurse to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Boulder, CO. This crucial role involves providing comprehensive occupational health services, promoting employee wellness, and ensuring a safe work environment within a stable factory/industrial setting. The successful candidate will manage employee health programs, provide first aid and emergency care, conduct health screenings, and contribute to injury prevention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and surveillance programs as required by OSHA and company policies.
- Administer vaccinations and conduct health education programs for employees.
- Manage workers' compensation cases and collaborate with management, HR, and external medical providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records.
- Participate in accident investigations and contribute to root cause analysis and preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement health promotion and wellness programs.
- Provide counseling and support to employees regarding health-related issues.
- Assist with ergonomic assessments and recommendations for workplace modifications.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational health, emergency medicine, or an industrial clinic setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation laws.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or COHN-S certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with toxicology and industrial hygiene practices.
