Job Description

Providence Home & Community Care is seeking a dedicated Part-time In-Home Care Aide to join our weekend roster in Pasco, WA. This vital role involves providing essential care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining client dignity.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques and equipment as needed.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with self-administration of medications as per care plan and training.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to supervisory staff promptly.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience or training in medical assistance or healthcare support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong empathy, patience, and compassion for clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Basic understanding of first aid and emergency procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or equivalent medical certification
  • Previous experience in home healthcare or assisted living settings
  • Experience working with diverse client populations and various medical conditions
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
