Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Part-time Short Order Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team for weekend shifts. You will be responsible for quickly and accurately preparing a variety of menu items, ensuring quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and other cooking apparatus safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor food levels and restock workstations as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift.
  • Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a short order cook or in a similar fast-paced kitchen role (1 year).
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure during peak hours.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training.
  • Experience with Culver's specific menu items and procedures.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
