Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Part-time Short Order Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team for weekend shifts. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for preparing delicious food, and are looking for high hourly pay, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will be responsible for quickly and accurately preparing a variety of menu items, ensuring quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and other cooking apparatus safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Monitor food levels and restock workstations as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries as required.
- Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a short order cook or in a similar fast-paced kitchen role (1 year).
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure during peak hours.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary certification or relevant training.
- Experience with Culver's specific menu items and procedures.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
