Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash register, handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Scan and bag merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and quantity.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining store appearance as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to customer privacy and data security.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless customer service.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer service role (volunteer work or school projects count!).
