Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a casual weekend roster. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient record management.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy workstation and environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and handling of cash/credit card payments.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or equivalent state registration/licensure as required by Colorado law.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with CVS Health pharmacy operations and systems.
