Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pinterest Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our team in Cambridge, MA. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the accuracy, completeness, and utility of Pinterest’s Knowledge Graph, which powers critical features across our platform. You will work extensively with various data sources, tools, and methodologies to identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring our users discover the best content. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for data quality and knowledge representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify inconsistencies, errors, and gaps within the Knowledge Graph.
- Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define data requirements and improve data ingestion pipelines.
- Categorize, tag, and annotate large datasets to enrich the Knowledge Graph.
- Contribute to the development of taxonomies and ontologies to better organize Pinterest's content.
- Monitor performance metrics related to Knowledge Graph quality and user experience.
- Research and apply best practices in data quality management and knowledge representation.
- Document processes, findings, and data definitions thoroughly.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or knowledge representation roles.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex datasets and identify patterns.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) or knowledge graph technologies.
- Familiarity with data modeling, taxonomies, or ontologies.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data processing.
- Experience in social media, e-commerce, or content discovery platforms.
