  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to build and refine models for automated metadata generation, classification, and disambiguation.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for metadata quality and impact on user engagement.
  • Conduct A/B tests and experiments to validate metadata improvements and inform product decisions.
  • Document metadata schemas, guidelines, and best practices for various content types.
  • Stay current with industry trends in metadata management, semantic web technologies, and machine learning.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, metadata management, or content classification, preferably in a large-scale online platform environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, algorithms (e.g., classification, clustering), and tools/libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques for text analysis and entity extraction.
  • Knowledge of graph databases or knowledge representation systems.
  • Previous experience working with metadata in a social media or e-commerce context.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Perks & Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays and sick leave.
  • Flexible work arrangements and remote-first culture.
  • Professional development opportunities and education stipends.
