Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated QA Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This role demands exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in executing quality assurance protocols for laboratory testing. You will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our analytical results, working in a stable Monday-Friday schedule. This is an on-site position critical to maintaining our rigorous quality standards and supporting scientific excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control checks on laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Prepare and analyze quality control samples according to established protocols.
  • Document all quality control data accurately and thoroughly.
  • Identify and investigate out-of-specification or non-conforming results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain and update quality assurance records and documentation systems.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the development and revision of QA standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff on QA best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and good laboratory practices (GLP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., ISO 17025, GMP)
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
