Job Description

Memorial Hermann is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Radiology Data Annotator to join our innovative team in Katy, TX. This critical role involves precisely labeling and categorizing medical images (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) to train and improve artificial intelligence algorithms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, and clinical workflows, preferably gained through a healthcare background. Your work will directly contribute to the development of cutting-edge diagnostic tools that enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. This is an on-site position requiring attention to detail, adherence to strict protocols, and a commitment to data quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately annotate and segment medical images (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs) according to predefined guidelines and protocols.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to identify and label specific structures, abnormalities, or regions of interest within radiological data.
  • Perform quality checks on annotated data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, data scientists, and engineers to understand annotation requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of annotation progress and data quality metrics.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new annotation tools, techniques, and medical insights.
  • Contribute to the refinement of annotation guidelines and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven background or strong understanding of healthcare principles, medical terminology, and human anatomy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and learning new software quickly.
