Job Description
Are you an experienced CDL A driver looking for consistent regional routes and excellent earning potential? Schneider is actively seeking dedicated Regional Flatbed Drivers to join our dynamic team in the Pasco County area, based out of Wesley Chapel, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting diverse loads, ensuring proper securement, and managing tarping operations, for which you will receive additional pay. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flatbed truck to transport various materials across regional routes.
- Secure loads using straps, chains, binders, and other equipment according to company and DOT regulations.
- Properly tarp loads to protect them from weather and road debris, receiving specific tarping pay.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Minimum of 1 year verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Proven experience with flatbed operations, including securement and tarping.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of flatbed specific driving experience.
- Hazmat endorsement (preferred, but not required).
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
